It  was a sunny and pleasant Autumn day in 1957 when the Mackinac Bridge first opened for service connecting Michigan’s Upper and Lower peninsulas.  No one could have imagined on that day what technology would bring us.  A mouse at that time was a mere rodent, incapable of communicating with anyone besides his immediate family.

Apple pie, Chevrolet, and the American dream.

The water is just as beautiful. “Mighty Mac” still stands proud.
